The BSC Monrovia calls for women and man under 35 years of age who would like to start a business or develop their existing businesses, to submit a simple business idea to the Business Plan Competition.

The best participants will receive training to develop their ideas into business plans.The participants with the best business plans will receive finance, coaching & mentoring and additional business skills training. BSC Monrovia promotes equal opportunities for men and women for participation in Business Plan Competition.

Business Plan DevelopmentTraining
At very first stage of the Business Plan Competition,the BSC Monrovia selects participants with the best business ideas to develop and draft these into full business plans.In small groups BSC trainer-coaches will provide practically oriented support to young entrepreneurs.At the end of this training course each participant has produced a full business plan that can be submitted to the second and last round of the Business Plan Competition.

Finance
An independent Jury selects the best business plans and proposes them for financial support and free registration.The BSC Monrovia makes available a soft loan and/or machinery & equipment to the maximum total value of 10.000 USD (through a bank or MFI).

Mentoring & Coaching
Financed start-ups and businesses receive mandatory additional support in the implementation of their business plans through coaching and mentoring provided by the BSC in Monrovia.

Business SkillsTraining
The BSC Monrovia also helps to develop the business skills of young entrepreneurs with financed start-ups and businesses through mandatory business skills training courses. Course topics are: Entrepreneurial skills, fiscal regulations, accounting and budgeting, project cycle management, employment regulations, organizational development, sales, human resource management, planning and management, marketing and market research, advanced business plan development, E-commerce,business law,etc.

Training & coaching
Training and coaching is provided by a team of international and Liberian trainers and coaches. Participation in the Business Plan Competition and Business Plan Development and Skills training is free of charge. Participants are expected to show continued commitment and to invest their time.
